Baby Mod - Parklane 5-Drawer Dresser, Espresso

I bought the crib to match this dresser. I needed the matching dresser, but read all the aweful reviews and didn't want to be stuck with a dresser that was terrible quality. After looking and looking, I never found Anything to match very well so I went ahead and took the chance. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful wood color, the wood had a few scratches already because it is very soft. The wood is heavy and durable. The drawers are a little wobbly, I have to make sure and push on the middle To shut them. Although the drawers aren't fantastic, it has held up very well for 5 months already. It is really a beautiful piece of furniture. Very tall with tons of space inside the drawers. So far so good, and I figure if I ever do have problems, my handy husband can probably fix it.

I purchased this dresser for my baby's nursery last October. It was ok for the first 6 months, but like other reviewers have said, the sides start to bow out and the drawers do not stay on track. It's very frustrating and I would not buy it again for this reason. It looks nice and is otherwise ok for the money (although the back panel is just a cheap piece of cardboard that you nail on, and it isn't the espresso color, but rather the color of cardboard). And again, like another reviewer said, the drawers are fine on the smaller changing unit. It's just the tall dresser that's a problem. I thought we had a faulty dresser but after reading these other reviews, I realize it's a design flaw. Save your money.

Baby isn't here yet, but I can tell you we were completely blown away by the sturdiness and quality of this dresser and all of the matching pieces! It is SOLID wood - no veneer, which means if it gets scratched it can be sanded down and retouched. The quality seems exceptional - ESPECIALLY when you factor in the price!! We still can't get over it! The stain is so beautiful, and everything is so sturdy that we envision our future daughter taking this set off to college with her. It is built to last! DEFINITELY worth every penny!

The dresser meets the design style I was going for but there are a few minor items to warn you about. Some of the drawer fronts vary in color and wood grain so a few are lighter than others. This could just be mine. The other item is the piece you attach to the back has the light exposed edges from the sides...I ended up just using a wood pen to make it the same color as the dresser. Again, these are minor because overall the dresser is great for the style and price.

Very modern look. The finish is nice. It did take my husband several hours to put together. If you don't have an electric drill this could take much longer. Good value keeping in mind that this furniture that requires assembly.....
