Baja Convert-A-Couch Sofa Bed, Red

1. I think this is a very attractive sofa - not too contemporary looking and not too formal looking. There are several complaints that the sofa is not the bright red that it appears in the photo. Mine is. I'm not sure why there is a difference in color for other people. 2. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the assembly instructions are terrible. It was pretty easy to put together. My husband and I put it together in about 20-30 minutes. We both have assembled furniture in the past, so that made it a bit easier for us even with the bad instruction manual. Just take your time, read all of the instructions, and it will go together quite easily. It does take two people to put it together. 3. This sofa is very comfortable to sit on and mostly comfortable to sleep on. It's much more comfortable than a hide-a-bed and not as hard as a regular futon mattress. There is a small space between the mattresses when it's laid out as a bed. I don't have a solution for that yet. Hope this helps with your decision.

I love the couch after it was finally put together. We read other reviews which said the directions were backwards. So, when we put it together we went by that. The directions weren't backward but they were for the wrong arm of the couch. Once we turned the hinges around everything worked great. Better directions would have been very helpful

As a couch the product is very comfy and looks good, with one problem the micro-fiber generates static so be ready for mini zaps when you touch objects. As a sleeper the product is very UNCOMFORTABLE; there is a trench between the seating cushion and the back cushion that goes along the sleeper ( from head to feet) as a result turning from the far right to the far left means falling in the gap).

Assembly instructions are wrong, pieces are mismarked, and it is not comfortable for sitting unless you put pillows behind your back. We were unable to get it to recline to sleeping position and finally bought a used futon frame to put the mattress on. The springs started collapsing after a couple of months. A complete piece of junk, now laying in our barn, disassembled.

This sofa bed is the most horrible thing I've ever purchased at Walmart. It's too pricey for the quality you get. It's cheaply made and not worth the money at all. It is the heaviest sofa I've tried to lift. I don't know what to do with it! I've only had it for 2 months and it's already broken. It doesn't stay up...it literally lays flat when me and my husband sit on it at the same time. It's a piece of junk! If anyone knows how long the warranty is for this, please please let me know. I need to get rid of it and at least get some of my money back. Also, buyers, beware of this sofa. The appearance of this sofa is so ugly. the sofa cover does not stay on the velcro...not appealing at all.
