BBQTEK Split Lid 4-Burner Gas Grill

I purchased this gas grill a month a ago. Now two of the knobs already broke because of the plastic fill it has inside the knob. I used it only for about two weeks and a half tank of gas. The knob would not turn back. Then, the grill would not start because the regulator shot it down. I guess even I get a replacement knob, three weeks late, I might need to replace it again. What a pain.

I reviewed this barbecue last year (don't know why the older reviews aren't here anymore), and was concerned that the "cheap" quality would mean a short life. Well, one year later and I'm happy to say that it's performing as good as ever! Must have used it 50 times and it's never let me down! Starts up immediately, adjusts perfectly. A really, really great grill for the price!

I have had several gas grills before and have always preferd charcoal to gas. I received this grill for fathers day in 2009 from my wife and kids and just love it. the sear grill side is great for searing the juices in steaks then moving it to the main grill side to finish with indirect heat. This grill gets almost as much use as my huge smoker grill. I have even bought a rotisserie and have done some pork roast in it and they have came out juicy and tender. I have recommended this grill to all my friends and family.

Loved the look, loved the storage...unfortunately it was a piece of junk. Used it two times and pieces broke each time. The warming, upper tray was missing in the box...several pieces were dented and then the whole lid/handle broke off at the weld. We are returning it today and looking elsewhere.

I recieved the product timely, however the side of the box in transit was torn and bottom exposed on arrival. It took me an hour to get it assembled, pretty easy, but when the BBQ was ready to be placed on the stand, the bottom of the frame, was so badly damanged during shipping, that it could not be mounted to the frame. A few dents in the hood were seen too. I called WalMart customer service, and they were helpful and quick to respond. They were gong to send me a new one, hassel having to disassemble it again. Reading other's comments on this same BBQ, it may be time for Walmart to look for a new shipping company, cause I am not the only one reporting damaged on arrival. Suggest you look at the base for damage before you assemble anything, but it is hard to see the way it is packaged. Good price, looking forward to using it.
