Bob the Builder Mash & Mold Construction Site with Playsand

Simple to assemble. My son loves it but it does get a little messy. I can only assume that the play sand is non toxic since I could not find it on the package after my puppy ate some. Other than that the sand seems a little too firm for the imprint shapes for a 3 year old. Great toy for kids that love hands on play and a great imagination. My son LOVES this play set. Thanks to Mattel, he's been spoiled with toys, but he spends more time playing with this set than anything else. He loves the using the crane and playing with the sand. The first night we got this he was up late at night playing, and I woke up at 5am to him begging that we get up and go play some more. It's like Christmas day for him. It was super easy to put together, my son actually put most of it together himself. This is something that keeps his attention for hours, and if you have a child with sensory issues, the sand will be great for them. This was very simple to put together, my son helped. His favorite feature was the wrecking ball which opens up to use as a mold too. There is plenty to do in this set making "bricks" to topple over with the wrecking ball and also being able to make barrels in the little vehicle. He was overjoyed to be able to use sand inside, and I was excited to know that the sand does not dry out. This product has interchangeable pieces to change the layout, they fit together like puzzle pieces. Each piece had groove where the tools fit in so it made it super easy to clean up. This toy was absolutely perfect for my son. He has some sensory issues and really enjoys squeezing and playing with sand. He is also a huge fan of anything construction related. Put the two together and it is a perfect toy! I liked that there are many different tools that act as molds for the sand. You can make multiple designs, bricks etc to build with. And the wrecking ball was very popular to destroy his creations! However, the biggest downfall I can see is that there is very little surface area to play with the sand. It comes with several small trays that link together to put the tools in, but most of the sand just ends up on the floor around the set. It would have been nice to include a fold up tray or something to contain the sand more. We just played on a hard surface and it was easy enough to clean up, but I can see us losing a lot of sand as we play with this. But again, the kid loved it, so it was overall a great success! My three year old son loves Bob the Builder and was excited to get Tiny the Crane. This toy is great to play with or without the sand. The sand is a good sensory experience for a young child that kept him busy for a while. The toy is durable and fits great with other Bob the Builder toys.
