Boca Java Boca Villa Whole Bean Coffee, Dark Roast, 8 oz Bag, 100% Arabica, Roast to Order

I have been a customer of Boca Java ever since the early 200s. My coffee grinder broke and decided to go with the ground type for my club choice. I think the grind is too fine because it gave my Kerig maker problems. It needs a coarser grind to flow better. I love the coffee, but I had to mix it with another more coarse ground coffee so it didn't cause an error on the maker.

The first thing that I do each morning is brew a large pot of coffee. Boca Villa is my favorite so far. The resulting brew is always smooth and not bitter. Also the beans have a moist fresh look to them. No negatives so far except that I go through each bag quickly.

Dark roasted coffees are one of the joys of my life. When the opportunity came to try Boca Java's "artisan" coffees, I, of course, jumped at it. Imagine my disappointment when what arrived ended up being so bland and boring that my corner coffee shop's hot cup of flavorless mess seemed more appealing. To get any flavor out of the Boca Villa, I had to double the amount that I normally use, and even then it was without any character that made it special. And it should be special, given the prices that they're charging.

I purchased the ground Boca Villa the first time I ever ordered from BocaJava.com and it was FANTASTIC. I would compare it to the House Blend of any major coffee shop. It is so DARK and rich! The aroma is so potent, you can taste it down your throat as you inhale - sort of like a chocolate rush. I just love this flavor - this time, I ordered beans and it's even more powerful - VERY CLEAN, not bitter at all - and I brew it STRONG. I often mix it half and half with a flavored bean like the Bananas Foster or the Spiced Vanilla Bean.

Each night, I set up my automatic drip coffee maker so that in the morning all I have to do is turn on the coffeemaker. By the time I've done my morning routine, the rich aroma of the coffee fills the house and makes me eager to pour my first cup because I know I am about to experience something wonderful. I've always loved dark, rich, full bodied coffee and Boca Villa fits the bill! Great way to start the day.
