Boca Java Pure Peruvian Organic Single Origin Whole Bean Coffee, Medium Roast, 8 oz. Bag, 100% Arabica, Roast to Order

This has become my daily! I absolutely love dark roasts, but the depth of flavor in Pure Peruvian has won me over to the lighter side. The balance of flavor is incredible. Even after reheating, I don't find this coffee bitter. Strong enough to bring out a bit of chocolate and nut flavors, but not overpowering.

I was so excited because, while not being too much into the organic hype of alot of things, I am finding a few items that are worth the organic price. I liked this coffee, but every day I drank it, I had very sharp gas pains following soon. I opened the Boca Sunrise to see if it was me, and did not have the same effect. I have been drinking that daily, without problems, so I am guessing it was the Peruvian.

This may seem rather unconventional. The procedure is for one cup at a time: I grind 2 oz.(by vol.)of beans(3 tbls.)using my automatic coffee maker(it no longer brews)which deposits the ground coffee into a conventional paper filter. I place the filter in a stainless steel funnel seated on top of my 14 oz. insulated carafe. I then slowly pour 12 oz. of almost-boiling bottled water over the grind. I add a tsp. of half and half to the brew and enjoy. I intend to modify this method by trying a permanent filter. Note: The automatic grinder, in addition to being convenient, also provides the exact amount of grinding every time which, of course, is important.

Tried this product in a auto-drip coffeemaker. I was not at all impressed with the Organic Peruvian. This was my first time trying Boca Java (as part of a promotion), I usually frequent a local roasterie for my beans. Luckily the second roast that I tried, Coastal Costa-Rican, was much better.

I am an early bird, up before 4AM. To smell that coffee before I wake. My wife makes it just like heaven. I can't wait for that first mouthful before I hit the shower to start the day, you can't believe the difference a good cup makes. The morning she handed me the Peruvian Organic coffee, I almost forgot I had to go to work. I sat to have a second cup, not getting ready for work. She has tried different coffees, but not for the mornings, why mess with perfection!
