Bosch 24" Benchmark Series Stainless Steel Pocket Handle Dishwasher - SHP88PZ55N

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 4th Bosch in 17 years. This is the first model where the thrid rack is useless. There's no "silverwear" holder (well the one included would hold enought for one meal for 4 people). Because of the deeper profile, the second rack won't hold glad/rubbermaid containers and if I lower the second rack to fit those, I can't get pots into the dishwasher. What gives? Not sure who you designed the space for except those that don't cook and only host cocktail parties!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bosch SHP88PZ55N has the best racks for the money, including a V-shaped third rack and an adjustable middle rack. The extra capacity and flexibility allow it to hold more dishes per cycle (including hard-to-fit items like trays, pots, and cooking tools) than its competitors, all loaded properly so that they should get totally clean. At 40 decibels, this dishwasher is also quieter than other dishwashers for the price, and most people won't even hear it unless they're standing next to it. Bosch dishwashers have one of the lowest repair rates of any brand, plus a better warranty and more helpful customer service than most. My wife and I love this dishwasher.

With the water softening added to this model, there are less water spots than before (yes, I alway use Finish). Cleaning seems similar. I do like the top tray for flat items. It is very handy and leaves more room for The bad: Although rated as a quieter washer, it is much more noisy than my old dishwasher: especially when the water leaves the machine. The button on the door as finicky and often are hard to push. I preferred the time left on the cycle to be displayed on the door. The projection on the floor is adequate, but seems like a gimmick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had always heard that Bosch was the "gold standard" for dishwashers, but not until we had one did I really know what that meant. It was very easy to install. As an engineer, I appreciated all the thought that went into the installation process. The method used for leveling the dishwasher was far better than any dishwasher I've installed before. It is spacious, with adjustable racks, which makes it easy to load. It's so quiet we have to check to see if it's even on! The dishes are actually "squeaky clean." My only complaint was with the delivery. We were given a window of time for the delivery, but not until I went out to get the mail did I realize that it had been delivered to my driveway. Not a phone call, not a knock, nothing. I was just glad they got it to the correct house!

This model has the third upper rack and somehow this model seems to hold much more dishes and glasses then our old model, The upper rack is ver useful for small misc items. The timelight is a feature we thought would be useful and it is a nice feature. There is a 60 min cycle we mostly use and works perfectly for most of our needs. If you need the cycles with more muscle, they are there. Warning: This model uses a regular 3 prong electrical plug that plugs into a regular outlet....meaning this is NOT hard wired. You will have to have an eletrical outlet installed under sink as there is no room beind the dishwasher for that. This is extremely quiet and we could not be happier with this purchase.
