BOSS Audio Systems BP8K 8 Gauge Car Amplifier Installation Wiring Kit

Received the red cable shown in the photo, while the blue cable bought at Walmart was cheaper by $3. Both cables are advertised as 8 gauge, but when I measured the conductor of the BOSS cable, it was actually equivalent to a 14 gauge. This false advertising is unacceptable and could lead to serious consequences. After reading other 1-star reviews, it seems this issue is not isolated. I strongly advise against purchasing this product.

The wire I received was not the quality I expected. It was not true to its description and the plastic coating made it appear thicker than it actually was. The fuse holder broke easily and the speaker wire and ground wire were cheap. The crimps and hardware were of poor quality. The only decent items were the RCA cables. The Boss audio amp I received was also disappointing. I would not recommend buying car audio products from this store, especially Boss audio.

The wire gauge is smaller than advertised, closer to 6 gauge. The wire quality is decent, but not suitable for my 1200w RMS setup. I purchased actual 4 gauge 99.9% copper wire to avoid potential melting issues. This kit is made of CCA and falls short in size compared to true 4 gauge wire I had at home.

The 8 gauge kit is disappointing in quality. The battery cable is fragile and easily crumbles, the speaker wire is not high performance as claimed, and the RCA cables are cheap inside. The only decent component is the fuse holder. I usually use higher quality brands like Monster and Acoustic Audio, so I recommend investing in a better brand or buying separate pieces. The wire is subpar and tears easily. Despite liking my BOSS subwoofer, the wire kit is unacceptable and tarnishes the brand's reputation. BOSS should seek a refund from their manufacturer for such poor quality wire.

I bought a BOSS Audio Kit to install with a new stereo and other components. It shorted out after a few minutes, damaging the stereo. The manufacturer blamed the damage on the BOSS RCA Interconnect Cable. I requested a refund from BOSS, but was only offered a used stereo as replacement. Despite providing pictures of the defective cable, BOSS declined any refund. I had to buy a new stereo and cable kit and reinstall everything. I was disappointed with the experience and will not buy from BOSS again.
