The media cabinet is nice went together easy as it turned out the cabinet I ordered from Furniture Row to match our new desks did show up, so I started searching for something else . The black walnut matches our new desks perfectly and I saved 1,000$
No doubt about the value. Very thing is up to standard except the door doesn't line up. I found out its due to the alignment of the cabinet. The back panel is only a piece of card board. Its not strong enough to shapen up the cabinet thus door gets stuck. Other than this, I say go for it!!!
If I knew more about this cabinet before I bought it, I would have never purchased it. I thought it was made with wood. It is primarily made of particle board (glued wood chips). The only part of the cabinet that was genuine wood was the door frame that holds the glass portion of the door. This cabinet is very cheap and poorly constructed. Wood dowels should fit tight. These wood dowels don't fit tight, they slip out and fit into the holes at different lengths. The particle board chips and breaks when any pressure is put on it, especially on corners of the cabinet. The back panel is made of a cardboard like material and is not very sturdy. In fact, we felt this cabinet was so unstable that we added four wood supports, two at the base to hold the sides together and two on the top to hold the top and sides together. Also, three screws were missing from the packaging. In addition the instructions are very poor. They consist of pictures, no written instructions of any kind. The picture indicates the part that you are working on and the fastener that you need. There are several places where pictures don't fully explain what needs to be done where written instructions would have been much plainer. We did call the Bush Stanford customer service helpline twice and they were very courteous and did answer the questions that we had. The missing screws were sent to us promptly. However, if this cabinet is any indication of the quality of the products of Bush Stanford, we will never purchase anything made by them again. This has also left us very disappointed in the Walmart.com service as this was the first time we had ever used this option. We were very disappointed.
We like how the bookcase fits perfectly in our small spaces. (We ordered two.) We like the glass door. We use the cabinets at our church to hold Bibles, paper, pens and other items that classes need. One bookcase was damaged (a corner broken) in shipping, but the damage is in the back and does not show. It took a lot of time to assemble. Once we did the first one, the second one was much easier. We felt the back of the bookcase was flimsy ... a light, almost cardboard-like backing. We expected more from this "high quality" piece. Otherwise, we are satisfied with our purchase.
This rack looks and functions as advertised. [...] The only change we would recommend is to make the frame somewhat thinner. Given our space, we had to place it to the right of the TV, and the remote sensor on our cable box is on the left. Therefore just pointing the remote at the cable box doesn't always work.
