Casio Casiotone, 61-Key Portable Keyboard (CT-S200BK) black takes six AA batteries. The Casio has a Sleek, smooth appearance. Whether you plug in your headphones or nah, it gives great audio. You can create, perform and listen to awesome music while using the free Chordana Play iOS/Android app. Stand sold separately. Reasonably priced. Fun to play with. Recommend to family and friends. The Casio brand is well known. You'll be smart to purchase one for those piano playing children beginning to learn their newly found interest.
My son has been asking to take piano lessons, and I'm so glad I found this keyboard. The keys have pressure, so it will allow him to build up strength in his fingers, in a way that mimics playing a regular piano. There are so many settings and sounds on it, and my son's enjoy just playing with the settings as much as they do practicing. There is a large headphone jack on the back, as well as a regular headphone jack so that they can play quietly during homeschool hours while one brother is trying to finish up school. There is a place on the bottom where you can purchase a stand and set it on a stand. I love that it has a book prop, and it's removable, so that you can carry the entire keyboard like a handle. It's lightweight enough that my 10-year-old can carry it easily, yet it is still well made and solid and sturdy. I can't say enough good things about this keyboard. It is so much more than I thought it would be. It's perfect for setting up an iPad to use for online piano lessons.
I really like this keyboard as it is a combination keyboard and MIDI combined. I also enjoy the full size keys, as the keyboard is long enough. No USB cable is included, but it's not a problem. The built-in speakers are OK, but eventually you will want to use an external speaker.
This Casio Casiotone, 61-Key Portable Keyboard (CT-S200BK) is just awesome. It has so many different tones and music that I am just amazed. I got this for my preteen daughter and toddler son as just a toy to help teach n strengthen them in music as fun. But it turned out to just be more. The love noise but they boy love to use it so much that they are learning so many of the feature on this piano, it is just fantastic. It's is cheap enough to be just a toy but you can get the real learning experience and interest in this as well. I just love it for them.
This Keyboard is full size and has the sound and quality you would expect from Casio. I like the music book holder and the fact that you can plug it in instead of relying on batteries and it has a spot for headphones. The reason I gave it a four was because I feel like this is a beginner keyboard but it didn't come with anything to help a newer person get started and it is overall a basic keyboard without any bells and whistles. Overall it is a nice instrument that anyone basic keyboard player would enjoy having.
