Well designed, not like a wrist clock, more like a watch, great backlight, direction and temp instantly. To attain the correct ambient temp you must take watch off to be accurate.

The compass on my unit is spot-on compared to a quality magnetic compass. It is easy to calibrate and stays set for at least a month at a time. Default is for magnetic north, but it can easily be set for local declination for direct reading. For accurate readings, be sure the watch is held horizontal. The onscreen directional heading is for the direction where the N indicator at the top of the watch is pointing. The thermometer can be adjusted to compensate for body temperature to within about a half-degree so you don't have to take the watch off and wait for the reading to stabilize. I set mine to match an(other) ambient-reading digital thermometer after I'd worn the watch for about 20 minutes. Worked great. Remember, the watch will read temperature for =its= location. For example, if you are driving and holding the steering wheel and sun comes in the driver's window, it will heat the watch more than other places inside the car. Similarly, if the watch is in shadow, it will be cooler than other sources in the sun. Watch features and modes are easily accessed without reference to the included paper manual. One additional feature I really like is the 4 one-shot alarms and a fifth that has a snooze function. The world-time feature is easy to set and real hand for travel of overseas phone calls. I like the backlit display when the button is pressed. It only stays on a second or so, but this reduces battery drain.

I have had the watch almost two weeks and really enjoy it. I used a pocket compass to test the watch compass. The compass directions are almost exact. The watch time and date are easy to set and are accurate. The time and date display are large and easy to read. The light makes the watch easy to read even in total dark.

Husband goes through watches fast and he is hoping this one lasts. So far he love it. Looks great!
