Description

Designed by the same engineering team behind all of casper sleep products, the dog mattress is a universally comfortable sleep surface for our four-legged friends. We combined our mattress-making know-how with extensive dog-centered research to create a sleep environment that caters to canines natural behaviors. Pups spend more than half their lives sleeping. Even the most well-behaved dogs have bad days. But no matter how rough they play, most dogs can’t rip through our durable cover material it’s made with one of the strongest bonded microfibers available. It’s so tough, similar materials are used in performance footwear designed to withstand years of abuse. This bed will keep its shape, thanks to its fortified construction it won’t sink, slump, or sag over time. Dogs scratch or dig before laying down. That’s an instinct they inherited from their wild ancestors, who would kick up dirt to find cooler ground and brush away debris before turning in for the night. So dig in doggies. There’s a reason pups like to squeeze into tight spaces. They’ve learned to seek refuge from predators, so they feel safest in enclosed areas. Material - 2-Layer foam construction Visco elastic memory foam polyurethane support foam nylon, polyester, and olefin cover some assembly required.

This bed did have some assembly, but is pretty sturdy and comfortable. It is pretty expensive and the cover doesn't fit very snug in the center. I love the fact that it is very supportive, unlike a lot of beds that are less expensive. I opted to put a blanket over it for my old man Golden who is 110 pounds and very arthritic. I find it easier to wash the blanket instead of taking the bed apart. The fabric seems very easy to wipe clean too!

I love the Casper dog bed and Hugo seems to love it too but it's not all great... I love the look and comfort of the mattress but I do not like the cover. We've had the bed for a few years now but I had to replace the cover TWICE because it ripped (and the cover itself is not cheap!). Not accurate that it's a durable bed - don't think Casper should advertise that it's durable and for dogs to "dig in". For the price point of the bed, I wish the cover was a bit more durable over time or more affordable to replace... The cover is also not an item that you can purchase online. So you have to call to order, which is inconvenient. Probably the last time I'm replacing the cover. If it's rips again, I'm looking for other options for sure.

In the 4 years since I adopted Memphis she has *n e v e r* slept in a dog bed. Not because she didn't have many options throughout the years, she just hated them and would convince me to share my bed. After many nights cramped in our bed together, we decided to get her a Casper. She LOVES it. In fact she lays in it all day staring out her window and at night we can hardly convince her to hop in our bed for a cuddle. *note* we got the sand colour and can confirm that it stains within minutes, however for us the appearance of the bed didn't matter

We adopted a 10 yr old dog with osteoarthritis and wanted to get her a great bed! The previous (comparable cost) bed we purchased she never took a liking to, so we ordered the Casper. She likes it so much more, and it seems to offer her great support.

We've gone through many bed iterations, and held off on the Casper bed because it felt pricey. But we took the plunge and haven't looked back! Wizard is a mini Aussie, and a bit rotund right now, so was debating getting the Medium bed, but I'm glad I got the small. He fits right in and mostly sleeps in a curled up ball position, so he's nestled comfortably with a little room to spare. Medium would have been too big. (If your dog is the type that likes to stretch out all over the place, maybe go for the medium. ) The best part about the bed is how it provides gentle structure/bolsters around the edges, which also are a useful chinrest! My dog usually has to be shown something before he understands it's his, but as soon as I put this down, he walked over to it, stepped in, and was instantly asleep. I've also enjoyed watching him scratch and "dig" the bed, which was a nice detail the designers at Casper added. He does this sometimes quite vigorously, but the fabric is hardy and made to withstand it. I'm also relieved that I can remove the cover and wash it.. especially after we had a recent bout of doggy diarrhea!
