This product will restore your headlights if you carefully follow the destructions and take your time. WATCH the video of this product by scanning the QR code that comes in the box. I restored the headlights on my 10yo Cadillac ats. The vehicle looked pretty good, although the headlights gave away the age of the car. The headlights look amazing now and there is a huge difference when driving at night. WATCH the video and take your time. Took me about 45 minutes for step 1 and 2. I waited a couple hours to complete step 3 to ensure the headlights were totally dry. Step 3 took about 5 minutes tops.
I am a 65-year-old woman, disabled, and even I could use this kit. It is so incredibly simple and easy to use, and the results are absolutely amazing. I joke that I got cataract surgery for my eyes, and I gave my car cataract surgery for its headlights!!
2005 Cavalier, both headlight lenses beyond cleanable and having trouble seeing at night. My normal self would have just bought 2 new after-market headlight assemblies on-line especially since they are easy to change and I haven't always had good luck previously with specialty automotive cleaning products. Never tried headlight restoration before, but $17 for the kit (enough material for 2 headlights) and $70 on the low end for a new pair, so I did a little research and decided to give restoration a try. Don't panic if the lenses look like crap after the 2nd step. There is a major difference in appearance after the 3rd step. When I was done, the lenses looked very clear. But the real test was driving to work this morning in the dark. Huge noticeable difference in brightness. I can't say enough about it. I didn't think they would come out that clear. I definitely recommend.
If you're willing to invest over an hour of your time doing the prepping, it will provide you the expected results. Final application is a couple minutes. Definitely watch the video. I followed the instructions to a T and used all of the step 1 wipes which took 30 minutes to do both headlights. Step 2, sanding is critical. I had to go back and resand with the 2k and 3k grit a second time to get the lenses to a slightly even haze as recommended. The step 3 application instead of a single horizontal swipe, I did several horizontal swipes because it didn't look like the film was distributing evenly. I hope it lasts as they proclaim, because I won't be using it again on a 25 year old car if it becomes oxidized again.
I used the Cerakote Headlight Restoration Kit and was honestly impressed. It was super easy to use—no tools needed—and my headlights went from cloudy and yellow to crystal clear in less than an hour. The ceramic coating gave them a nice, glossy finish and really brought them back to life. It's held up well so far, even after a few car washes and some intense sun. Definitely worth it for the price!
