Champion Global Power Equipment 1700W Inverter Generator, Low Oil Shut Off

Still breaking in, but I love the design of this generator and it is very easy to start. Follow the set up procedures and don't pull start cord out like it has no end on the cord. It only takes a couple pulls first time if you have primed properly and a short quick pull after you feel the resistance. only have an hour on it yet, but have gone back and forth with econ and normal mode and started many times. Great quiet running and easy start. Love that it stacks if you want to add another in parallel.

I purchased this for use on my boat because I am not always hooked up to shore power. This gen is quiet, easy to start and powers my onboard battery maintainer, lights, TV and a burner on the galley stove. Small enough to put on the swim platform so it can be outside when the back deck is covered. It would be nice to have a 12V lighter socket. Plenty of gas to run all night powering a 1500 watt space heater. Good buy so far. We'll see how it likes salt water air this summer.

Bought this for ice fishing. Runs greats after you heat it up. Will not start -30f, -20f,-10f,0f,+10f. Will try to start cold in 10 degree increments until it starts without setting it in the front seat of the pickup for an hour. I would hope they surely would have built this unit to start in cold weather. Maybe will start better as it breaks in and things loosen up. I know my chin sang wang dang loud generator with 5000 hours on it starts one or 2 pulls down to 20 below. Usually starts on one pull. I want to support american companies so will put up with it needing to sit in a sauna before it will start.

I bought two 73536i. I did the start up on both units and the first unit and its runs perfect (Just how I had hoped). The 2nd unit has had some problems right from the start. 1) On shut down it would stop quickly 2) Hard to start, needed multiple pulls 3) Runs a lot rougher than the other new unit (surges?) 4) Once running sometimes I could not get 120vac to the plug (had to shut down and re-start to get power) I‰Ûªve working with Brian D. and lately with Jim, They have been great to work with and we are getting closer to resolving the issues with the one machine. They sent me, and I have installed a new carburetor which looks like it has solved issues 1, 2 and 3. The control unit was ‰ÛÏnot‰Ûù mounted in its mounting slots and was loose inside the unit, so when I was replacing the carburetor I had notice this problem and went ahead and set the control unit in its proper location and bolted it down to match my other units. We are down to the 120vac (power/no-power on start-up) issue which I hope is also resolved as well with the mounting of the control unit. I really like the units and how quite they run. I was wanting a quiet generator like the Honda 2000 for camping in our little tent trailer, wanting the obvious benefits of a generator but not wanting thew entire camp ground to hear it. Well, so far its lived up to expectations on the quiet side, maybe only slightly louder than the Honda my friend paid $1000+ for. I got mine through Cabela's on black friday for only $400. What a steal! Its a little bigger than the Honda with comparable watts but i can still carry it with one hand. Although i haven't had it out camping just yet to really put it to the test, I am extremely happy with the product so far! should i decide i need more in the future, i'll just buy a second one and the parallel kit and still be hundreds ahead as compared to buying the Honda.
