Chiggerex Benzocaine Ointment, 1.75 Oz

I use this religiously in the summer for mosquito bites. I live in the woods in Vermont and even though my blood is probably half DEET by now, I still get bites where I miss applying bug spray or it wears off or they're just being especially nasty. Chiggerex doesn't get rid of the itching completely, but it does offer some immediate itch relief, enough to get by until you get distracted from your bites. It's white cream that blends in pretty well with my ghostly complexion, but for anyone with pigment it will be noticeable somewhat. It smells sorta medicinal, minty-generic-lotion-like, nothing outrageous (just thought I'd mention, since I'm sensitive to smells). It's not perfect, but it's the best I've been able to find, and I've tried lots, including prescription, and always come back to this cheap stuff I only can find at Walmart, so thank you.

I was stung by a bumble bee while gardening. I immediately washed the sting site, applied ice and took an antihistamine. My hand proceeded to swell considerably, and got quite hot and itchy. I applied a popular antihistamine cream and continued taking antihistamine tablets daily but really didn't get any relief. Then, I found this cream. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired - nothing about it says "buy me!", but when I read "10% benzocaine" and saw the $2.97 price, I had to try it. I am SO GLAD that I did! First, it's the consistency of a hand lotion. It absorbs completely and leaves no greasy residue. Second, it smells of clove, which I find quite pleasant, and the odor fades within a few minutes. Third, and most importantly, IT GAVE ME COMPLETE AND UTTER RELIEF! Within moments of application, my insane itching was gone. It does not make you lose sensation in the area of the application. It just apparently calms the nerves? I don't really care how it works, I'm just so thankful that it does. I will always keep this on hand from here on out to treat insect/spider/bee stings and bites.

I never had chigger bites before. but I had about 12 of them on my stomach area. I tried cremes and sprays, nothing worked the bites were extremely itchy and swollen looking. I found this product and it was instant relief. Cannot say enough good things about it. It is a must to have in your medicine cabinet or camping trips.

We stayed at a hotel last year and got bitten by bedbugs. I could not stop itching. I've had poison ivy before and this itch was far worse. Nothing would stop it, not heat, ice, calamine lotion, Benadryl, nothing! I was walking thru Walmart steadily scratching and saw this product. I got to my car, wipe my hand with an alcohol pad and dabbed some on. No more itching almost instantly. I love this product and now keep one in my car, house, and purse just incase. this is a wonderful product.

I HAVE AUTO Immune disease with itching, chigger-x works better than all steroid creams that I've tried!
