Cuisinart - Air Fryer Toaster Oven - Black Stainless

Purchased this approx 3 weeks ago to replace an older Black & Decker toaster oven. My husband and I use the Cuisinart daily for toast - 1 or 2 slices with room for several more pieces of bread. Toasts evenly - still working on figuring out my preference on the dial to get the perfect amount of toasting. I have used the air fryer twice. It seems like the recipe temperature is going to need to be adjusted down by 25 or more degrees to prevent over burning on toppings or thinner portions of veggies. Used the oven to cook biscuits one morning, I think I used the convection setting and should have reduced the temp in this situation as well. We did cook Sister Shubert rolls on the Bake function for Thanksgiving meal and the tops of the rolls were really brown, and pretty much overcooked - and this was using the temp listed on the package. Going forward whenever I use the bake, convection or air fry settings, I'm going to reduce the temp and see if that gives me better results. I look at this as just getting used to the oven. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. It looks good on my counter and does not take up too much space. In the photo, I have the air fryer basket sitting on top since we use the toaster rack every day and it is just easier to not take it in and out except when needed. The oven basically has a square foot print. Usable interior dimensions are 4.75" H (bottom of lower rack to top broiler element) and 12" wide and 12" deep. Exterior - there is 3.75" from the top of the oven to the bottom of my cabinet front; measures 14" from the backsplash (with the oven back spacers pushed against the backsplash) to the front of the oven, plus add 1.75" for the handle. Exterior width is 16". I list these dimensions because I found it difficult to determine accurate dimensions prior to purchasing and did not want it to take up too much space on the counter. I have not found that the exterior gets noticeably hot, but warm to the touch when using the oven for extended period of time, i.e. 15-20 minutes. I would purchase again.

We started with a smaller air fryer and quickly outgrew it. Our air fryer menu has expanded far beyond potatoes and wings necessitating greater capacity. Enter Cuisinart. As empty-nesters, we can make an entire meal in our AirFryer Toaster Oven. Start with some cauliflower, air-fry for 5 minutes with your fav spice, add some chicken breast strips, again with a fav spice, air-fry another 7-8 minutes and voilà! Dinner! Additional features and conveniences include convection setting and the best way ever to cook Boca Burgers, a staple in our home. After serving, drop the tray and basket into a sink of hot soapy water and clean up after the meal is a snap!

I purchased the Cuisinart AirFryer Toaster Oven, model # TOA-60 in December of 2018. My local stores did not have the unit in stock to preview and I ordered it via online. A goal of mine was to have ease of cleaning and maintenance (dishwasher safe), which I thought this unit had as nothing in the description mentioned exclusion of using the dishwasher. I only found this out after reading page 7 of the Instruction and Operations booklet. It states, "Oven Rack, Baking Pan, AirFryer Basket and Crumb Tray should be hand-washed in hot, sudsy water or use a nylon scouring pad or nylon brush. They are NOT dishwasher safe." Other leading AirFryers have racks and pans that are dishwasher safe. I would ask that Cuisinart redesign those non-dishwasher components and issue free replacements to verified purchase customers.

We have had this Cuisinart Air Fyrer Toaster Oven for a month now and use it almost daily. We had a different air fryer for the year before we bought this one and I would give the old one three stars vs. five stars for the Cuisinart. This machine cooks food so much faster than our old one and makes chicken and any other meat crispy if we want it that way and it is always juicy. I can't say enough great things about it! I don't think we have even turned on our regular oven since we bought this, other than to make large amounts of Christmas cookies. I would highly recommend the Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven!

I purchased this thinking it would be great to have one appliance with so many great features; however, after nearly charring a couple meals I bought an oven thermometer only to find that setting this to 350 degrees means it will reach 500 degrees in 7 minutes and never drop to the necessary temperature. I exchanged it for another unit only to have the identical problem. Needless to say I returned that and will NEVER consider Cuisnart for ANY appliance in MY home no matter how many features they offer. and I am only giving this one star because I can't submit a review with zero stars!!
