I purchased this item for a family member who had foot surgery, and needed to stay off of the foot for six weeks. This unit allows for them to be mobile while they are recuperating. She loves it, so I recommend this item to others who have temporary mobility issues..!

Having to stay off my broken leg for at least 4 to 6 weeks, this walking aid makes getting around easier than using a walker. It is, however, not too easy to maneuver in a small house, especially a small bathroom. All in all though, I'm glad to have it.

The scooter is just a s described. It is made of heavy metal and will work for the purpose it was purchased. The steering bars are a little wobbly. The 4 wheels are nice for stability but if any one of them hit even a small pebble, the scooter drags or stops. The knee pad is very stiff and not comfortable for long periods of use.

Excellent to get around with, sturdy, well built, lightweight. Well padded knee rest. Very responsive "bike" type brake. Cumbersome if you need to fold it down for transporting. You have to readjust the knee rest in order to be able to fold down the steering column. All operations are easily performed, however. I'm using it for post-foot surgery.

My husband broke his leg, used crutches, a wheelchair, then a walker. Each of them has their limitations. When the Dr said "I want you up and walking, but don't put any weight on that leg" (it has a hard cast), we went with this knee walker. It was easy to assemble, much less bulky to travel with than a wheelchair, and much easier to use. It's given him much of his mobility back without sore arms. In a cast for 3 months, this thing paid for itself.
