I really want to love this vacuum but unfortunately did not, its so heavy that it gives me blisters the first time I used it. Love the high suction mode but would only give me 10-15 mins of usage time and battery died.
Like the ease and ergonomics of changing out the attachments and the smaller size to fit in our boat. Floor attachments work well. Very disappointed in the suction of the small round brush attachments. I picked this vacuum because it had brush attachments. Seems to just move the dust around with the bristles not having enough suction to actually then suck up the dust rather than it just falling. Can't imagine it's user error but haven't found any videos stating to do anything special.
The battery isn't meant for a lot of cleaning. You gotta move fast. The battery runs out and to get a secondary battery will cost. I'm a bit disappointed. The suction is great. The battery sucks.
In order for the vacuum to operate, you need to keep your finger on the trigger. When you take your finger off, the vacuum stops. You would think that with the high cost of this vacuum, it would have an on/off button. Also, the battery when fully charged does not last 40 minutes you are lucky it lasts 25 minutes. Lastly, it is very cumbersome when emptying the bin to clean. Overall, the design of Dyson V8 is not impressive and I would not recommend it to my family and friends.
This Dyson V8 is my first Dyson product, and I have to say "It sucks!", but in a GREAT way. It picks up dog hair, dust bunnies, and who knows what else, but that is what it was designed to do. I will certainly be using this vacuum, and other Dyson products, whenever I can. It is highly maneuverable and is the first vacuum I've owned that was able to get all the way under my king-sized bed to clean the floor. I haven't had it long enough yet to judge the battery life, but what I've seen so far has been great. I also plan to purchase a couple extra attachments for those "special" spots that are not easy to reach or clean. Overall, I can't think of a single negative to my purchase, and hope to use this for years to come.
