It’s a sophisticated sound amplifier, available only through licensed hearing healthcare professionals. PLAID utilities innovative, patented ClikFITfi technology that allows you to select and set your desired amplifi cation from a range of acoustic alternatives. Your provider can help you decide. PLAID has two listening modes: Quiet and Noise. You can easily switch between the two by pressing the program button on the back of the hearing instrument. Using two microphones, the Noise mode helps interpret the direction of sound in order to suppress background noise. This is extremely helpful in environments such as restaurants or other social situations where you want to focus on the sound directly in front of you. Plus, you can still fi ne tune the sound by using the rocker switch volume control.
