Do not buy this item, I purchased two of these and what you see in the picture is not what you get. There is no water dispersion cone under the lid, and there are no vents or screens on the sides only the bottom. The funny thing is that even though the picture on the box shows one thing, the instructions inside matches the product shipped, the picture below is what I got. The lid was loose and flimsy.

Was interested in stainless for health reasons to avoid hot water going through plastic, however to my surprise the top inside portion was plastic. Not much point in the rest being stainless and not worth the price. Returned it unused as soon as I saw this.

Seems to be a later cheaper, model with a simple hole in the SS lid and no perforations in the side. Possibly counterfeit? Doesn't close properly and if it would fit my brewer, it would almost surely leak. I purchased two and intend to throw them away as it's not worth my time to fight the system It's too bad really, I hoped to be able to make stronger coffee. Lesson learned and one is still unopened.

To everyone who posted that they got a knock-off or that Walmart is selling Gen 1 instead of Gen 2 of this item, this actually *is* the newest version. Walmart failed to change the second and third pictures of the product, but this is definitely is the real thing. The manufacturer has revised the item so that there are no longer holes on the side or a downspout under the lid. As you can see, the first picture correctly depicts the current version, but the second and third photos still show the old version, which is Walmart's bad. I wasn't able to try out the original version before it was discontinued, but I heard good things. I'm going to give the new version a try, but I'm not very optimistic. Will update my review after I do.
