I love this product, IF you can get it out of the container. This should be in a squeeze tube rather than the pump, as both pumps that I purchased appeared to clog or dry out, preventing me from getting 98% of the product. Frustrating, as I really like this product.
I've actually purchased two different colors of this product. Diva and Headliner, Headliner is the lightest color and to be honest probably the best color to buy lol Diva is SUPER pigmented not a bad thing but unless you are very dark toned or dressing up for Halloween I would not recommend that color to you. The product itself is great quality, it does blend well as far as the headliner one, the packaging is perfect no issues there. I would just recommend elf try lighter shades because these are pretty dark especially for people who are light toned which I am medium and these are still pretty dark even in the lightest shade. I will also add these are crazy LONG LASTING AND HARD TO GET OFF!!! lol Why I say this is because when I swatched to do a video review on my blog I played you know what to get them off especially the diva one haha, I might not use the Diva as a blush but I've improvised and used it as a lipstick and it looks beautiful on your lips and it lasts so that's a suggestion to those who might have purchased it and aren't sure what to do if it was too bright.
This is such an ugly color and SO highly pigmented you end up looking like a CLOWN, it's TOO MUCH. I tried applying this on different people using different brushes including the small stipple brush from elf and it's just awful. It stained my brush pink and made everyone look terrible no matter how little you use. I would not even recommend this for a doll halloween costume, it's too hard to use and too pigmented, plus the color is just awful (on my and my subjects at least). I ended up throwing it out, plus it took me about 20 pumps before actually getting any product out.
Working in a Hospital, all the staff dressed up to visit the Children's Center, I dressed up as Raggedy Ann. I need a lip color that would stay on day, so I grabbed the "HD BLUSH", and it worked like a CHARM! I also used it on my nose and on the cheeks...I highly recommend using the stipple brush with this product if applied to the cheeks.
I own Diva, Encore and Superstar. They are indeed extremely saturated with potent color and require trial and error to get it right, but they're worth the effort. I like to squirt out a tiny bit onto a square of toilet paper and then take an even smaller portion from that and mix it with a little moisturizer on my fingertips. Once the HD Blush and moisturizer combine to form a creamy sheer color, I sweep it on with my fingertips. The result is a smooth, moist application with a more sheer wash of color than straight application. It's mind blowing how little product it takes to overdo it. The first time I tried it, I looked like a 3 y/o who smeared her mommy's lipstick all over her cheeks. I also like to use the HD Blush as lip color, but not at full strength.
