Ematic Wireless Waterproof Nightvision Color Security Camera/Receiver Set

I live in an apartment complex and I needed a camera or two to set up in my windows on the inside. These cameras do a good job during daylight but when it's dark the infrared option will not work through windows. The rules of the complex is that wires or cables are not allowed to go from inside my apartment to the outside. I did test them out in other rooms in pitch darkness and they worked well as if there was a light on. I'd recommend this set as far as setting up outside or inside but not through windows.

Had mine for more than 6 months. They work very well for what they are.Yes they can interfer with your router or wireless phones on the same channel. But it would help if they told you that you can change the channel on the camera.Unscrew the lens cover and you will see two switches. Both to one side channel 1. Both the other way channel 4.By alternating one up one down you get 2 and 3.And for those wishing for more cameras the same cameras are made onder other names like astak.My are both outside one on the far end of the house through 3 walls and only get minor interferance

I purchased this system after feeling that the 1-camera 1-receiver Swann system I bought from Radio Shack for $150 was not sufficient. These ematic cameras look and feel the same as swann just a different sticker on them and you get 3 more for only $50 more. (I purchased 2 sets of this so I would have a 4 camera system.) The ematic receiver was higher grade so that I had more options on where I could put the receiver to get good reception. The Radio Shack receiver was very limited on where it would receive a good picture without static. This Ematic system is awesome. I set up all 4 cameras and selected to have it automatically rotate through the different cameras rather than just focusing on one shot and hooked it up to tv and dvd recorder to catch vandals in the act! For other reviewers saying they wish they could purchase cameras #2 and #3, here is what you do. It is easy. Purchase the exact same thing again. You take the cover off of camera #1 and switch the channel it sends on to channel #2. Take the cover off of camera #4 and switch it to send on channel #3. The layout of how to switch channels can be found on Swann nighthawk camera website or radioshack website for same swann camera which looks and works identical to this. Best wishes to all!

Don't buy this if you have wireless internet! Both broadcast in the 2.5 g range. Also this product will not work if you have wireless 2.5 g wireless telephones! They all jam each other. This should be disclosed in the product description! Sadly I had to return the cameras.
