Ember - Travel Mug 2+, 12 oz, Temperature Control Smart Travel Mug - Black

I like the concept of Ember mugs, and when they work, they are great at doing what they claim. However, the charging pins inevitably break in less than a year - at least for the 2 mugs I have. Ember mugs are too expensive for this to occur. I don't recommend them for this reason.

I like this mug quite a bit. The only negatives I can think of are: 1. If one grasps the mug without looking and touches the Ember logo another mode is displayed and a different temperature could possibly be selected. 2. It could have a slightly larger capacity.

I hate to leave negative review but I contacted them regarding a scratched lid and bad battery performance and they didn't care enough to contact me. I'll be happy to adjust my review when my issue get resolved. I don't like that the cup is only 12 oz and the battery life is only 3 hours but honestly if it work for 3 hours that should be enough!

If you intend to use it for more than 2 hours in a day you'll need to charge it. It's not a travel type mug and at 12 ozs it's a bit disappointing. I should have just gotten the mug if anything since I can only really use this at home or when I'm driving around doing errands.

My wife loves the Ember cup so bought this travel mug for use out of the house. Unfortunately the travel mug has many technical issues including app crashing/disconnecting multiple times per day, cup will randomly turn down temperature multiple times during use or turn off completely. She spent hours with technical support and hard reset multiple times without improvement. Returned the travel cup and will stick with the cup until they fix those issues
