I bought a black one back in March and it had worked so amazingly that I ordered a rose gold one! The way it works is hard to explain. You definitely feel your hot flash/night sweat come on but as soon as you turn on your wave, poof! Its gone! Its an out of sight out of mind thing. Once the button is pushed, you notice the instant cool and then the waves kick in and you don't notice when but your discomfort is gone. I love my waves! P/S I got the vegan band the second time around and I love it! The metal band pinches and sticks to my gloves at work. I replaced my first band with the velcro band which worked fine but the magnetic vegan leather band is awesome!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago and to lower my risk of metastatic breast cancer I am on an Aromatase Inhibitor. Fun fact: Side effect of aromatase inhibitors..... wicked hot flashes that just decide you will no longer sleep for any reasonable duration again. A sure fire way to get rid of hot flashes is taking estrogen hormone replacement therapy.........but that also would feed any remaining breast cancer...... and lead to metastatic breast cancer. Sadly not for me. In the hopes to actually sleep, I tried mediation(zero effect), SSRI mediations (just gave me a flat affect), Benadryl (felt drunk for 12 hours), and melatonin (pretty good for making me feel tired, but still woke up >4 times a night) and Oxybutin (bladder spasm medication that decreased the hot flashes, but then I work up > 7 times a night). Of course there is a new medication Veozah (for women who cannot take hormone replacement therapy), but since it is new, it cost a ton and the insurance companies do not pay for it. So that one was out. My girlfriend had the Embr Wave (a gift from her daughter) and said it changed her life. Since Embr Wave offers a full refund in 60 days........ I had nothing to lose but to try it. The Embr Wave is simply amazing. I have been using it for 2 weeks now. It is the first time in a year I have had solid sleep and I have slept 7 hours in a row. I feel like a human being again. I will vary between All Night Cool and just turning on the Instant Cool when I do get a hot flash. I have chosen to vary what settings I use, just to keep variation in my cooling pattern. I certainly do not want my brain to figure out how to ignore the Embr Wave. About 3 times a week I will turn on the All Night Cool for 8 hours and sleep like a baby. If I am really tired, I just use the Instant Cool button if I wake up with a hot flash. It takes about a 1-2 minutes for my brain to think it is cool and the hot flash symptoms resolve. For the last two weeks, I have 2-4 hot flashes a night and go right back to sleep. Solid 7-8 hours of sleep. It is the BEST THING EVER. I have also taken to wearing during the day. No more stripping my clothes off at work when a hot flash happens. I turn on the Instant Cool and I can keep my cloths on in public. My job is in a 65 degree environment, so sometimes I am freezing. I must say........ at work I have even used the warming settings and feel so much better. I am just so delighted to be able to sleep again. The Embr Wave is just amazing.

After suffering from night sweats and hot flashes for months, I was at my wit's end. I was skeptical that Embr, too, would fail me. It did not. It took a few weeks to figure out how to best use it, and now whenever I feel a hot flash coming on, I activate it. I'm sleeping better. Less cranky. Nicer to my husband! My only complaint is that the device is easily scratched, due to its position. I don't think I should have to buy a cover to keep it safe.

Best money I have ever spent! I bought one of these about 10 years ago. It finally failed and I told myself I didn't need another one. I was wrong . When my new one came I slept like a baby and was so glad I got another one! My only complaint is the glowing light is pretty bright at night time.

Works well. The multitude of options for settings was a little overwhelming at first. I have settled on about 3. I feel like the all day or all night options arent cold enough. I have them all the way up and it is great to keep me cool throughout the day, but when a big hot flashh comes, I need more. I'm happy so far.
