In a pack of four, two of the shakes I've opened are congealed and lumpy, regardless of how hard I shook them. It's really off putting. I'm just tossing the other two.
I have been using ensures for about two years now and generally I really love them! I tried out the max protein milk chocolate flavor and really love it and decided to give the cherry cheesecake flavor a go. I ordered a case of twelve and so far about half of them are goopy, funny smelling, and undrinkable. Again, I really love ensure generally and I must have gotten a bad batch or something but I cant recommend the cherry cheesecake flavor. Id say go for the milk chocolate because they really have that formula dialed in.
These are fantastic for on the go. I have tried a lot of protein shakes in my life and these are much better than most I've tried! I also have had issues as others have shared with the vanilla and mocha separating and being “chunky” for the cost I should not have to toss out half the pack. Hopefully they get it fixed! Best Buy on the ones I tossed this morning for being separated and chunky is Dec 2024, that shouldn't be happening.
I typically buy the Vanilla and Strawberry flavors, and they're delicious. But my rating is such because the Strawberry containers CONTINUOUSLY leak after opening. I'd always have to turn the container a certain way or pour it into a cup to avoid it spilling all over me. I, unfortunately, had to learn the hard way while at work, the strawberry shake spilled down the front of my shirt and was a pain to clean. It was an embarrassing mess. Please, please fix this flaw. I have not encountered this with any other flavor.
I like the fact it is considered a protein drink to help with building muscle mass. I gave it four stars because it is not as thick as a milkshake and the flavor has a bittersweet taste but overall it is tolerable to drink.
