i was told to supplement my diet with this product by my physician due to recent health problems. i have noticed an increase in energy and overall health, also an increase in weight gain which we were looking for anyway. overall very pleased with ensure plus. I have had multiple health issues most of my life, right now I cannot chew food so my nutrition options are few. Over my 45 years of life I've tried many different dietary suppliments. Most I would have to force myself to drink, until my doctor introduced me to this one and I LOVE drinking it! It tastes like a butterscotch milkshake to me! (If you've ever had the strawberry milk when you were a kid, this is a butterscotch version!) My husband has to reign me in because I'd drink 4-5 a day if he'd let me! I can't have a lot of sugar at once so I take my time drinking my Ensure over some ice and it's like a yummy dessert! I pray they continue to make the Butter Pecan flavor forever!!! I only wish there was a way for us "life timers" to be able to purchase them at a wholesale price! (We are buying 6-7 packs a week!) My dad is 91 years old and is very thin and fragile so his doctor recommended that he have 3 ENSURE bottles a day. I am a 95 year old woman. I have experienced quite a weight loss in the last couple of years. My appetite is not what it once was am concerned that I don't get enough vitamins and protein, so l supplement my diet with Ensure Plus. Strawberry is my favorite. This is too thick and heavy on the stomach and has a funny taste. Gives you gas and lays heavy on the stomach. Also found it was giving me constipation? Three days before being able to go, pains in stomach and more sickly feeling during and after drinking for some time after. Tried strawberry and banana and it taste the same thick and chemical. Never noted it was the ensure till a friend had some and he had the same experience gas and constipation. Been a month drinking it as had to tolerate as through illness lost so much weight and dietician prescribed it.. Please make it more like a nice milk shake.
