Works well once it is set up. My preference is to tighten the bottom first so it stays in place and then adjust the top until the green marker shows. Tightening the top takes longer. Much like others, I too thought there were no threads on the 4 "adjustment bumpers". The instructions do not show or tell you that the end of the bumper separates into two separate pieces, and that is where the threads are and where the tension comes from. Be sure to twist the end of the adjustment bumper and separate the two pieces before pushing it into the four corners of the gate frame. Then while setting up the gate it will be easier to increase tension.

This gate is the best one on the market! It's designed to be tight in the doorway, comparable gates for loose and it doesn't take much pressure to push them in! This one is very strong! I recommend this to anyone who wants to keep kids or animals out of a room or away from stairs!!!!

Love that my 5 year olds can easily open and close it themselves. Best baby gate I've purchased and we've tried quite a few over the last 5 years. After 4 years, our old gate broke so I've ordered the same one. Unfortunately, I think it's defective since the plastic latch piece broke after a week. Will return it and get the same gate again. We use 3 of this gate in my home and it hasn't let us down yet.

Very nice colour. Sturdy. Extremely easy to set up especially compared to mountable gates. My 3 1/2 year old can open and close it no problem so it's easy for him to get in and out. i love that feature but some may not depending on why/where you need the gate.

I love that this gate is easy to open that my 6 year old can go up and down stairs with out needed help to open the gate and even tho it's not screwed in to the wall it a good tight fit my husband pulled on it and it didn't budge from where it was installed I just wish it could fit in wider door ways I still have to use my old baby gate (thats hard to open and close) on my kitchen because the door way is to wide
