everydrop by Whirlpool Ice and Water Refrigerator Filter 4, EDR4RXD1, Single-Pack, Green

I just came onto the website to get information to recommend this service to a family member and saw all of the negative comments. We're a small household that drinks lots of water and we only replace the filter once a year (fridge has an indicator light to tell us when) since late 2017. The water and ice are delicious. The service does exactly what it says - gives you plenty of time to change the subscription if you want to. It does take a little time and effort to take out the old filter, replace and clear the line of air bubbles and maybe a little carbon dust. I never have to do it for as long as the refrigerator manual says. I'm very happy with these filters. I wish there was a recycling option like there was when I first subscribed - my only complaint but I have that complaint with most consumables!

Have bought several Filter4 in the past, and they worked fine. The brand new filter4 I installed yesterday makes a sound like a jackhammer when we try to dispense, and only a trickle comes out. Never seen this behavior before. We tried running 4 gallons through, as the manual recommends (which took FOREVER), AND STILL HAVE LOW FLOW / JACKHAMMER NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reinstalled old filter and no noise with normal flow.

Had the fridge for over 15 years and this is the first time we having such an issue. Ran a ton of water through it, which is a pain as we have to keep the fridge door open. Will have to change brands, based on other reviews it appears to be a common problem.

These are great filters but I ordered one 2 weeks ago and I was supposed to get it in just a couple of days. But now it keeps saying preparing order. When will it ever come. These are usually in the store but my store was out. I have three other items that say the same thing, “preparing order.” I don't know what's up.

Does what its supposed to do but only lasts for half the time (I have bought two) than just paying the price for the original name brand filter. You will still spend the money that you thought you was saving.
