I took Flintstones with Iron vitamins as a kid, and have been giving them to my two older children for several years now — in fact, my middle child is turning 4 very soon and has been excited to start taking a whole tablet like her sister instead of half. I even pop one of these vitamins instead of my own grown-up vitamins on occasion. Sadly, we ran out of vitamins recently, so I had my husband pick some up. Both kids complained that their vitamins tasted sour. I took a look and a sniff and — oh wow, the sniff was a huge mistake. I can't even bring myself to taste one based on the terrible smell. Looks like I'll be searching for a new brand of vitamins, because I don't hate my children.

I took these vitamins as a kid and started taking them again as an adult because I am a bit iron deficient and remembered always enjoying them as a child. I looked forward to my daily vitamin treat. Even gave them to my kids and grand kids. Well, whatever you did to change them is disgusting and you obviously don't take them yourself. They are no longer enjoyable. In fact, they are downright gross. Now I am stuck with 2 bottles of this nastiness because I didn't realize the ingredients changed. So disappointing. I tried my best to get over it and get used to the new flavor but it's just too unpleasant. These are going in the trash and I will have to find something else that doesn't taste so awful. If I could give negative stars I would.

This is my second try to review this product. I must have been too blunt on the first try. Here goes: These taste awful now. There is an overpowering flavor that is not pleasant. I would describe it as a cross between fruit punch mixed with a hint of bubblegum flavor and rancid pineapple. My doctor recommended that I start taking these years ago to combat low iron levels. I am going to have to find a new vitamin and I am unhappy about it.

My kids have loved their Flintstones vitamins for years. The formula was changed (no notice on the box) and also now contains wheat (a change that should have been mentioned on the box). The kids don't like the new taste and won't eat the vitamins. Now I have two bottles of vitamins I have to throw out.

Please bring back the old formula! My kids loved these vitamins and need the iron. Now they won't eat them at all and I don't know another vitamin to give them that won't upset their digestion and tastes good. Plus there was no mention of a new formula on the bottle or box. Now have to throw the whole bottle away!
