Gorilla Playsets Tandem Swing with Nylon Rope

It seems to me that a bracket (not included) is needed if you do not have a Gorilla playset. Also, I am questioning the hanging cords and how much weight they can hold. This swing doesn't seem to have long term potential so I returned it and purchased a swing with chains instead.

Our 6 year old grandkids love this set. My husband spent 2 hours organizing and labeling the hardware by the "phases" in the instructions and zip lock bagging them. With minimal help from me construction took about 11 hours. There were no missing parts, but the labeling stamps on some of the lumber was indecipherable. My husband had 3 separate electric drills so that one was always charging. The tandem swing was a big hit with the kids, but original cross bar in the kit is too narrow for the tandem hardware. We had to add 1.75 inch blocks on each side which were not included. It took patience and organization but it was worth it!

The instructions show to mount this on a single ring. We discovered after trying this that it will swing in all directions like a park thrill ride. The children love it until ! Each side needs its own ring separated by at least 18". Then it will swing in a very stable manner and the children will still be thrilled. Each end pivots independently so a child alone can operate it.

When I saw this swing it reminded me of an old one my great grandmother had. I loved that swing so much growing up. It was like a bike swing. I would swing in it for hours and no one had to push me even when I was too young to use a standard swing on my own. This swing tought me the basic concept of how to swing on my own. I am very happy with this new and improved version I just purchased. My 18 month old grandson hopped right in the seat, grabbed the handle bars and started swinging all by himself!

I researched every swing set accessory for a 3 year old birthday girl before I decided on this green Gorilla Tandem Glider Swing from Walmart 59.48. Everyone knows toddlers want to swing yet they are still too small for the swings & mostly focus on the slide. I invested in this glider because a toddler can safely hold on with both hands & feet. The chains/rope length is very generous so you can adjust to the height you need & it includes the required installation hardware. She's delighted that she can safely mount & dismount the swing by herself. She has started to push her feet forward for somewhat of a swing on her own. Of course she will say "higher" as I'm standing by her & loves to ride this glider every day even more than playing on the slide or in the fort. I also purchased the Eastern Jungle Gym Steel Glider Brackets from Amazon {44.99 which were very easy to mount on her wooden play gym & includes the hardware bolts} This combination set up was a perfect & very simple installation addition to see her enjoying the ride like a big girl.
