Strong chlorine smell. They worked well for the first couple weeks and then nothing. I ended up putting the second tablet in the tank and it cleaned for another couple weeks. I now have 2 slowly eroding chunks of chalk in my tank and a stinky toilet. This product is no longer available but, as of this writing, the 4-pack of the same item is.

I asked if it was safe for the pipes and septic tank. The answer had no answer on the pipes ! I do not know anyone that knows if it is safe for their septic tank. So without more info I will stop using them!
