HART 6 in. Dual Action Air Sander

I'm impressed with how smoothly this runs. It's well balanced and not super loud. The pad is a good density, not too hard or too soft. The air consumption is pretty good, as long as you dial back the pressure and control the flow. I'm mostly using this with my woodworking, so throttling the air helps reduce compressor cycling and gets the job done. This is a heavy duty sander that's made to last. I'd definitely recommend this as my top choice.

I got this for my father to use on a car he is restoring. It was nice that the air adapter was included in the kit. It is very compact to get into tight spaces. It has a convenient air flow knob right next to the handle to adjust the speed. Keep in mind that you'll need a powerful compressor with a large air tank capacity to run it.

It's a very high quality device but my husband is very unhappy as we did not realize that it needs an air compressor on it so that means he has to pull out the compressor and hook it up every time he needs to use it. This item would be best for an auto shop but not a regular home garage. So for that reason since it is not convienent to use I only gave three stars.

The Hart dual action air sander is a godsend! I refinish furniture and sometimes struggle with swirl marks. With this sander, there are none. The body is heavy-duty and quality made. You can adjust the speed/air flow with a convenient knob. It takes 6" PSA sandpaper, which is not included. There is a generous three year warranty, which is awesome. The comfort grip makes it very easy to control, and helps absorb vibrations. I only wish I had found this sander years ago!

As an newbie, this air sander is quite intimidating to me. It is a solid, heavy weight but feels a bit awkward and unwieldy. Maybe it just takes practice. It does have plenty of power and should do the job for people who like to do-it-yourself. It comes with a manual. Be sure to follow all safety precautions. I'm looking forward to using this sander to remove several layers of paint from a table.
