Blade was sharp. Unfortunately the metal was so soft after 60 seconds of use the blades caught on each other and refused to close. Tried multiple times to get the blade's deficiencies to bend straight again, then the blade started chipping away pieces of itself causing more friction and catch points. After one use I would say they pretty much destroyed themselves. I will need to take a grinder to the blades to remove all the bent spots and parts where metal has chipped away. I still think after that I'll probably have to redo it again before the next use. Product does not look promising.
The yard, with about 6~8 hedges, was already done by a gardener a month ago. Just needed to trim some weeds and a few twigs that grew out faster than the hedges, nothing over 1/8" thick. Used less than 10 minute on the first day. 10 days later, when using for less than 10 minutes the second time, it fell apart. I was still holding onto the two halves of the shear handles, but apparently, the nut and bolt of the fulcrum came off and rolled into the grass.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pins that hold the blade came out on first is cutting something not that big all my other hart stuff good but this
There is a manufacturer problem with the pin that controls the blades. The first pair of shears, the blades locked and would not close. Due to the return period, I was able to return it. I repurchased a second one. The second set just broke—the pin completely popped out and I can't find it so the blades won't work properly. Using the shears to trim a box hedge when the lost pin occurred and I could not locate it.
Until the whole thing fell apart after tnot even an hour of use. I able to put back together. Pretty I didn't lose any pieces but it just will not go back together. Returning them an 2 hours after purchase in an unusable state!
