Hello Hobby Chalk Acrylic Paint, Ultra Matte, Aqua, 8 fl oz #40510

I used this paint on my guinea pig cage (a 2x6 pine board) in a small sample spot. I only put one coat on, but it went on fairly thick. Unfortunately, I do not have any chalk at the moment to write on it, but I used a crayon. I really like the off white color. My paint brush was easily cleaned with soap and water.

I was skeptical about this paint because I have used expensive chalk paint before in my refurbishing if older furniture. I was pleased that there was immediate great coverage when I tested this on the back of what I wanted to paint. This saves so much time. It was not watery. Yet it was simple to wash off my hand because I used my fingernail to poke through the seal on the container. I would definitely buy this for future projects. Why pay more!?

This paint exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting much out of such a small container and a brand I had never heard of... The consistency of this paint isn't watery and runny. It's quite thick and sort of reminds me of a hand cream or something of that nature. The top half of the attached photo is 1 coat, and the bottom half is 2 coats. As you can see, 1 coat of this paint covers quite well!

I really love the color of this. Used it to restore an old unfinished craft table. It had some crayon and marker on it and we wiped it and lightly sanded it. We painted it once and it was still a bit lighter than we wanted. With a light second coat, it was perfect. The paint was hot upon arrival due the weather so we waited until it came to room temperature before use. Worked well with basic paint brushes. Would recommend.

This is a terrific flat base coat for rock painting. I painted some rocks then, once dried overnight, let kids decorate them with paint pens. Once dried again, I sprayed them with a clear coat. The paint goes on smoothly and evenly. Only a single coat is required. Now we're off to hide the rocks!
