Hitachi C10Fch2 15-Amp 10-Inch Laser Compound Miter Saw

Annoying safety feature in the on/off trigger mechanism makes it very difficult and cumbersome to use - not user friendly at a professional level. Additionally, any person with a smaller hand would find it almost impossible to activate and use. The safety button should be on the end of the handle unit to allow you to use your thumb in a more comfortable way. The placement of the laser switch to turn on and off is poorly placed on the lower part of the handle - in a recessed area. It would be better placed on the front of the handle as well as have a lighted button so that the user would know if is on of off. The disk on the "hold down" clamp is too large for smaller pieces of lumber.

People should know that this model is not a satisfactory choice. I purchased it in Feb. but because of the Corvid virus didn’t start using it till the middle of May. I only needed a simple saw since I’m only cutting wood for framing my own work. Two weeks ago it started making a very loud “creaking” noise as I would lower the blade. It’s in for repair now, I’ve been waiting to hear. Can’t image what the problem is? Very disappointed in trying to contact for help and lack of communication since dropping it off to be assessed and then repaired.

I would've rated this product higher but i Haven't used it a ton yet. what i have used it for i am extremely happy with this saw. It took me awhile to align the laser but once aligned, it was easy to get consistent cuts. I paired this saw with a table setup.

I have only used the saw a couple of times, but it works great. The only thing that raises concern with me is that, even with the dust catching bag on, it doesn't catch much of the dust. I have a ton of dust on my garage floor and very little in the bag. But i do recommend this saw to everyone.

The saw cuts very well, but the saw dust collection system is useless. I taped my shop vac to the saw dust outlet and 80% to 90% of the sawdust DID NOT GET PICKED UP BY THE SHOP VAC. The design of the saw dust collection system is one of the worst I have ever seen on a saw. When I use this saw again, it will be outside only so I do not have to spend a hour cleaning up my shop. I would suggest a retro fit kit be made available for this saw to address this problem.
