Hoover - ONEPWR 4 Ah Lithium Ion Battery

I bought my Hoover one power 3 years and 2 months ago. The warranty is for 3 yrs. I bought an extra battery. I have gone through 4 batteries in 3 years. The batteries lasted for under a year. My 4.0 battery lasted 1.5 yrs which was right at the end of my vacuum warranty. Hoover basically wrote me off. I live in a remote area and it takes time for us to get mail order. They based the warranty on the order date not the date I received the vacuum. I am only buying a new battery to get me through to my next vacuum. The new battery is definitely more powerful than the last 4.0 battery. Hopefully it will last longer. You could argue that this is a cheaper cordless stick vacuum but the batteries are over $100 so you increase the price as you replace batteries. The Hoover is definitely more sturdy than the Dyson. I won't ever by a Dyson again. I will be looking at Meile…

I bought a second battery for my vacuum and it is great, of course. I chose to buy from Hoover rather than Amazon because I wanted to make sure it would work with the model of vacuum I have and not experience any compatibility issues. Hoover has always provided great customer service.

The difference between the 2Ah to this 4Ah is huge. My ONEPWR Cordless Handheld is now cleaning as I would expect from a very good vacuum cleaner. Hoover should allow customers to choose this battery instead of the 2Ah when buying the vacuum itself. Finally, it's obvious but I just wanted to mention that this battery lasts for almost 3x more than the 2Ah.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the 4.0 battery after the 3.0 unit that came with my ONEPWR vacuum failed to charge after ONLY SEVEN MONTHS of proper usage, because of apparent cell failure. Hopefully, this 4.0 design will last longer. If not, Hoover should expect calls and emails from yours truly. Good luck and good health to all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife uses our Hoover OnePower Blade daily for about 20 minutes to keep up with the dog hair shed by our lab and the flecks of grass, etc., that our Lab brings into the house each day. I also use it from time to time. We both find it very handy, with plenty of power and nice features (regular, carpet & eco), handy accessories and easy to clean. Our only dissatisfaction is with the life of the batteries. We purchased the device in 2019. It came with a 3.0 battery and we purchased an additional battery soon there after. One of those faltered soon and we began to migrate to 4.0. We bought two 4.0 batteries in addition to one or two remaining, working 3.0. Just prior to my wife ordering the two new 4.0 batteries, we were down to zero working 3.0's (they'd either not charge or not hold a charge) and only one 4.0 that would still hold a charge. If I had a magic wand I would wave it so that Hoover or it's third-party vendor develops a battery that will both run longer, when in use and have a better life of three or more years.
