Bought 3.5 years ago. Had to replace the heating coil less than a year after purchased. When taken apart it was shown that coils were bent during assembly causing them to short. 3 years later, we find that during assembly, screws were used to hold the snap bearings in the upper bearing housing. This scarred the drum, and ruined the upper bearing housing.... it will cost more than its worth to fix. What a ripoff.

Does not dry heavies (jeans, towels) on one cycle. No air tumble feature. But the price was low! I guess you get what you pay for.

Our previous dryer was barely hanging on! Grabbed this one and so far it has been working wonderfully. I'd say the alarm/buzzer sound when done is a little obnoxious, but overall a great and reliable product so far without the annoying bells and whistles of higher tech models out there!!! Would buy again!

This dryer has been great so far had it for about 4 years. The main dryer knob broke from the inside probably wear and tear. Used it with out the knob for months, I used some pliers to turn it. But then it broke all the way through and could no longer turn it. I got some replacement parts coming because the dryer is still going!

Purchased the Hotpoint dryer as a twin to the Hotpoint washer rather then a junker that I was using. The controls are a bit confusing for a single person laundry. Old junker had on/off - minute timer. That's all I needed. Took some time to arrive at suitable setting.
