[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a month ago & saw has plenty of power, starts easy & runs as it should. Would recommend this to others.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several different sizes/brands of saws and this is by far one of the greatest all around saws on the market.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this chainsaw and found the instructions easy to read. Startup was a breeze and began cutting tress and limbs. Light weight for a saw this size, so very little effort to operate. Nice chainsaw overall.
Bought as a replacement for an older 435 that I wore out. Same saw more or less, with a couple new features that are improvements - primer bulb is handy and that addition plus the SmartStart makes it easier to start than the old one. Chain change is easier as this one has only one bar bolt and there is more room to lift the chain over the clutch. Bar length adjustment is better, as the adj screw is located similar to the competitors saws and stays in one place. This is a big saw for the money, and will cut whatever you feed it with an 18" chain. I'm happy with it, and would recommend it for a mid-range saw.
It took me 13 yrs. to wear the main bearings out of a Husqvarna 450e. Good solid saw with 1 exception. The easy tensioning system. It failed to keep the chain tight. I replaced it with a 445e II (registered 2/8/2020) which came with a nut to replace the easy tensioning system. An improvement I thought. However the single nut system is inferior to a dual post and nut design. When tightened it puts pressure on the bar but not the rear of the cover plate. This can be observed by tightening the nut with the saw upside down. Try it. One can watch the rear of the cover plate pulling away from the saw body. This uneven tension of the cover plate allows the bar oil to drain between the saw body and the bar oiling hole that normally would distribute the oil to the bar guide. The result is NO bar oil being applied to the bar guide and profuse oil leakage under the saw.
