This was an absolute game changer when tackling my repair. Love the ability to write what step a screw came from or label it in any other way.

This helps me get organize the screws and parts, step by step on a nicely matrixed grid. Super helpful!

Pad seems ok. Came with a pen that is 100% dried out, and whose cap had not been properly pushed on. More bad quality control from ifixit. In addition, figuring out how to extract this item from its package requires a PhD in topological geometry and knot theory, and mine is only computer science. Very expensive package that is not usefully usable by the customer after it is opened.

Having worked on an iPhone before, I found this product to be extremely helpful. The iPhone uses various different size and threading of screws depending on where the screw goes. As such, having something that will allow you to hold the screw in place for the particular position in the phone that it belongs is extremely helpful.

If I'm starting a repair at the end of the day I will use this mat. I like it because I can label each square and lay out the screws in the EXACT order they came out in. The mat is magnetic enough even if my bench gets bumped I know nothings gonna go flying. So by the next morning when I come in to finish the repair, there is no worry about trying to figure out what went where because I have it clearly labeled and also held in the exact order they were removed. Great for large repairs or repairs that will span multiple days where you may forget what parts/screws went where.
