I used to have a jam replay but it went as a present to a family member. Then I replaced it with Jam double chill and what can I say. It's better than jam replay, delivers good bass for its size, it's very loud and clear. The build quality is brilliant, this speaker is build to last and being splash proof/water proof is an added bonus. Some people are complaining the bottom compartment was too difficult to open, I think it has to be exactly like that otherwise you won't have the waterproof feature. Can't fail this product at all, battery life is really good. I recommend this speaker to anyone.
Bought this a week ago and so far I am fairly pleased. The sound from the speaker is very good for the size, but not as good as the older version jam2. This is probably down to the internal cone being 5mm less in size. The storage compartment in the bottom is very useful The battery life is good so far as I have used the speaker for a few hours, but have not had to charge up yet. Pairing to an iPhone was quick and easy with no problems.
I've owned at least half a dozen different types of Bluetooth speakers. Some of them very expensive from name brands, many of them budget speakers and a couple others that were supposedly waterproof. In my experience you often don't necessarily get what you pay for when buying Bluetooth mobile speakers. There are 3 major things that are important to me when considering a new Bluetooth speaker. The big one is battery life. This speakers has pretty decent battery life. I've usually got 4-5 hours of solid play time at max volume on a single charge. Honestly l, I'm not keeping close track of the on-time between charges, so it could be far better than that. But I can say I use this speaker in the shower, in addition to a pocketed shower curtain for touch screen devices, after work every day for between 20-30 minutes. I've only charged it 3 times in the space of 6 weeks. So battery life is good. Not amazing, but I'm happy with it. One other major issue for Bluetooth speakers is loudness/sound quality. This speaker gets pretty loud. Not super crazy loud, but loud enough that I have no trouble whatsoever hearing music and YouTube videos over the noise of my shower and my noisy exhaust fan. This speakers maximum volume is above average in my opinion. Sound quality is pretty good. It doesn't sound amazing, but you're not going to get amazing sound quality out of a single mono speaker. It has above average bass and average mids and highs. Even at max volume the speaker has good clarity and I haven't experienced any significant distortion or static. The third important thing for mobile speakers labeled as waterproof or water resistant is, of course, their ability to function while getting wet. I would never trust this speaker to work completely submerged in water for more than an instant, but it does just fine hanging in my shower. It never gets water sprayed directly on to it on purpose, but it does get splashed a lot and it definitely gets soaked by the moisture created from the condensation of a hot shower. So far it's holding up very well. The Bluetooth range is pretty good. I can go one floor above or below the transmitter and still get a good strong signal and my house may as well be lead lined with how poor my wi-fi range is. I don't have much bad to say about this speaker. It seems pretty sturdy and has so far performed really well for me. I really like the fabric loop that comes on it. It allows me to hang it from a hook in the shower, or anywhere really, which is very convenient. I actually bought some cheap plastic hooks with double sided tape to hang in the shower so I could use this speaker in there. It uses a standard micro USB cable to charge, which it comes with. It also has a 1/8 in. auxiliary headphone style jack if you don't want to or can't run Bluetooth. My biggest complaint is that it took me a bit to figure out how to get the bottom of the speaker open so I could charge it. It has a flap on the bottom that, at first, appeared to be an aesthetic design only. When I tried to open it, it wouldn't budge. The first time I really had to yank hard on that flap to get it open. I thought I might break it. Turning the speaker on was a little confusing at first. There are actually 3 buttons, but from looking at it, it appears that there's only 2 buttons. There's actually a third button in the middle that is used as the power button. My only other complaint is no audible warning when battery life is getting low. It will just shut off out of the blue. Overall though, these issues are pretty minor and once you figure it out they're just something that can be a minor annoyance. I'm Actually really happy with this Bluetooth speaker and I'd recommend it to someone who is looking for a decent speaker that is water resistant in a specific price range. It's not the best, for sure, but it is a good value for what it costs.
My son loves this little chill Bluetooth Speaker. He has been using this everyday. It has good quality sound and it's loud. He doesn't use it to the highest volume sitting. It stays charged really well. Is says it's water proof but we haven't tested that out yet. This is great to use in the house when you just need some music to listen to. This would be good around the pool and it's water proof so no worries there. If you are having a get together and you want some music in the background you got it. This can be for you or a great gift for someone. Anyone that likes music will love this speaker. It can be hooked on to something by the loop that is on it. You could even put it on a small belt it you wanted to. It would be easy to put in a suitcase for traveling as well.
I received the Jam Audio Bluetooth “Chill Out” speaker. This little speaker is only about 4 inch tall but it for sure packs a punch on the sound. The entire top part is a speaker with bottom plastic piece for charging. You set it on the plastic piece for the bottom, at first I had it upside down for sure. The included instructions were a bit hard for me to read, this being my first boothtooth speaker, so I opted for looking at the full instructions online. The device is pre-charged, but I did give it a slight charge before I started it. There is an included cable when you open the bottom plastic piece. You can charge either on the computer, or via a plug in (actual plug is not included). Then turn on the Bluetooth feature of your phone and find the “chill out” speaker and select it. Once you do that and you select a song from your library it starts right up. You can use your phones volume to control the sound or the speaker itself with a short press. The two buttons work for various purposes with long and short presses. The bar in the middle will also function as a button and allows you to turn the power on. I also like you can use this speaker with music, but also with TV and movies! I use my movie app and can easily use this speaker to get great sound. I also love that this product is water and dust proof in that I can take it places like camping and not have to worry about ruining it! I think it is neat you can also talk through this device. It does have a headphone jack cable to connect to your phone if you don't want to connect through Bluetooth. Great sound and it fits in the palm of your hand.
