Works as described. Provides a safer environment for children playing in the driveway. Ideal for homes that have a front fence on both sides of the driveway -- the driveway guard would serve as an extension of that front fence when installed.

My husband and I were looking for a driveway barrier that would be easy to handle and keep our 19-month old from running out of the driveway into the street. This model suited our purpose and it is BUDGET-friendly. The "spindle"-style design here is great because it just rolls up into itself and can be carried easily. We've added a small bungee cord between the top of the spindle-side of the barrier and the driveway fence to add more stability. We store it in the garage when not in use: a) so it doesnt "walk away" with strangers and b) to make it last longer. GREAT Product!

It took longer to set it up (which took about 5 minutes) than it was in use. We returned it the next day.

The safeguard came 2 days after I ordered it online, which was great, it was easy to set up a we're using it straight away. I wish net was stronger, but it's ok.

I am very pleased with this product. I shopped around on the internet quite a bit and Walmart had one of the lowest prices, plus I knew if I needed to I could easily return it to our local store. (Our driveway was measuring 17 1/2 ft. so I wasn't completely sure it would stretch long enough once I got it, but it did.) I was impressed with how quickly Walmart got me the product, which is another plus. As others have stated, this is not a gate that will limit your child's access to the street or other hazard, but it does it's job and catches any balls, riding or push toys that roll down the driveway and keeps kids from following them into the street. That is worth the price to me. We are planning to get a basketball hoop soon, and I think this will be great for stopping the ball on our sloped driveway. My only complaints about the product are that it doesn't always retract as neatly as I'd like, when I take it down by myself. It does get most of the way, however, and then I just roll the excess around before putting it away. Also, it was a little hard for me to get the sleeves in the ground as our landscape is very rocky, so I did end up having to dig holes, but if your soil is mostly dirt it should be no problem to pound them in. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product and purchasing it from Walmart.
