(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It is a similar range to the slide in we had for 18 years It seems I have run the temperature a bit higher than with the old one but otherwise it is good
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) There were no instructions included on how to use the oven part of the range. The first time we used it - after a few cleaning cycles - it took over half an hour to warm up, and we could not figure out why. There were also no instructions on how to change the temperature to fahrenheit - that should be a standard in Canadian sold products. It wasn't until our daughter came over and found it all online. When you sell to seniors, please include all instructions, not just installation. We're not all tech savy.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought this stove as part of a package for the house we just purchased in December. There are some great features like steam, bread proofing and convection. The burners take a bit to get used to and you must make sure you are using the proper sized cookware to make the most out of the Even Heat Ultra burner. I do like the keep warm burner, it is great for keeping veggies warm. The steam clean for the oven does not really steam and then you have to remove the water left over after the cleaning cycle which makes more of a mess, I have had self cleaning ovens before that perform better than this. I did the first clean the other day and it did not really do much - maybe I am doing it wrong! The top of the stove is easy to clean up spills however the small ridge and the cotrol panel make it a little difficult to sweep off any crumbs or food particles. Overall it is a nice looking stove and cooking and baking is great.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased my range 29 June 2024 and have been disappointed so far. For two important reasons. The first and most serious problem is the oven temperature is unreliable. For example, setting it to 350F may result in an oven temperature somewhere between 220F and 310F. Setting it at 500F (I bake bread) results (on a good day) in 425F. Addionally, the left burner light now stays on even if the burner has not been used. Second disappointment: setting up a warranty appointment with a technian was inefficient. Using the Kitchenaid booking system the first time resulted (two weeks later) in a message saying the appointment was cancelled - no explanation - and indicated I needed to book again, which I did. Two weeks after making the second request for service, a technician from a different company scheduled an appointment and DID show up. They diagnosed the problem and parts were ordered (new motherboard and temp sensor). The repair is now scheduled for Friday, Feb 4, 2025. In the meantime, the orginal request for service which had been unexplicably cancelled by the booking service was later 'un-cancelled' apparently because I received a phone call to confirm an appointment shortly after the second service had come & gone. All of this said, I do like the features the range offers - I just wish they all worked properly and I wish that the repair booking service worked more efficiently, without confusion and without undue delay!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Just like all the other kitchen aid stoves we bought great.
