[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited 7 months as the unit was “back ordered.” Haven't had time to throughly check out the features. Am cover about the stainless about the drip tray around the burners as I was told they are hard to keep clean. And there are no covers available for this model - unlike other models or manufacturers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great and contemporary replacement to our nearly 30-year-old JennAir that finally needed an update. Had to have a downdraft and thankfully they are still made and made very well by Whirlpool Corp. We looked at a similar JennAir model but preferred the burner (gas) control knobs [location] on the KitchenAid
We have always wanted to cook with gas and are anxious to use the electric oven which is so spacious. We both love to cook and will probably be fighting over who will make dinner.....
We have had for about a month. I love the duel fuel stove. This brand was my only choice in a duel fuel downdraft stove but I like it better than my jennair. I miss the meat probe and would like to have had that feature. It's a lot of work to keep the top clean since you have to take all the grates off but I prefer to keep it looking new so make the effort after each use. I haven't used the oven steam feature and would like to have had directions and or recipes for that feature.
This was replacement for 21 yr old Jenaire. After having to redo gas line, electric box, cut island and modify opening for down draft it looks and works really well. Only cons are like other reviews the downdraft fan blows out flame on low and draws flames toward center on other settings. Also don't like the way you have to clean oven but seems like most have the same features for self cleaning. I don't see how boiling water and cleaning out by hand can even be called self cleaning. Haven't tried it yet but with back problems and age I'm not looking forward to it. If you need downdraft you don't have many options.
