I will not suggest buying this range. KitchenAid is making us Guinea Pig for their new smart gas range. This gas range makes a weird sound throughout the day. Very annoying. To get rid of the sound in the night, we turn off the power at the circuit board. Otherwise, you cannot sleep in the night. After spending a couple of hours with KitchenAid's customer service, they sent a technician. Technician came after a week, and he could not figure it out. He called KitchenAid customer service and got someone after about an hour. The representative told us that this unit needs a software update, that is why it is making this unique annoying sound. She said she was pushing the update, and the unit should be updated overnight. It went well. After a few weeks, again, it started with the same issue now. Very annoying. Could not even stand in the kitchen to cook.
It chimes all day every day every night. We have to disconnect the breaker every day to have peace. It hasn't worked right since the install months ago. Since the install we have had connectivity issues. The APP that you have to use to see anything on this range is the most worthless app I've used. It never connects right, it cuts in and out so you don't know correct temperature or time. The worst part is the app doesn't show you network settings, connectivity, or error codes. You are completely blind not knowing why your oven isn't working or why it's not cooking? Meals have been ruined. But that's not the worst part. CUSTOMER SERVICE, ha what's that? I've spent hours on hold then only disconnected and they don't even call you back. Nobody at kitchen aid knows how this oven works or how to fix it. Service techs have came out diagnosed, waited for parts the replaced parts. I've had to take time off work every time. And it still isn't fixed! I bought this oven because I thought commercial without all the control boards and electronics would be a solid unit. Nope. I'm on hold right now going on 58 minutes. If you read this in a year I'm sure I'll be on hold again.
