KitchenAid - Ice Cream Maker Attachment, KSMICM - White

The first time I used the ice cream maker I was so excited about the idea of making ice cream and I was just like oh yeah that's cool and I was like oh yeah that's awesome

I bought this attachment because I had the machine and it was less than a creamini. I also liked the thought of only having to freeze the bowl ahead of time, rather than all the ingredients, so it was more "whim" friendly. It does work if you follow the instructions and start the machine before you add your mix. Otherwise it freezes to the bowl and then won't spin. This is also what happens at the end. There is about 20% of the ice cream frozen to the bowl and will not scrape off easily, which means wasting ice cream or scratching your bowl. Waiting until the bowl thaws to wash it is irritating too. This system has it's flaws but it was still fun to make ice cream with my kids. I just doubt it'll be as often as I intended.

This thing is amazing! I was a little hesitant to buy it because some of the reviews talk about how the dasher can break, but I think that might be because they didn't read the instructions. The ice cream can start freezing so quickly that you have to start it spinning BEFORE adding the liquid to the bowl. It makes a small batch. Enough for 4 decent servings. Blackberry ice cream is so good!

I finally gave in and bought it for my husband at Christmas. WOW what a difference in taste and texture!! Our three year old grandson loves our ice cream and it's so quick and easy to make a batch before he visits.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this with my mixer to attach to it. The children love this product. The best choice I made freshly make fruit and chocolate icecream, even a protein icream. Now my children cannot get enough of a variety of icream they can do from home.
