Kwikset - Halo Smart Lock Wi-Fi Replacement Deadbolt with App/Key/Fingerprint Access - Venetian Bronze

I bought one of these and liked it so much I bought a second. At first, they were great. Then after a couple of months, they started "forgetting" the thumbprint signatures. A couple of firmware updates came out, installed them fine, but that failed to correct the issue. Older people, like my wife and I, have lower contrast fingerprints. Any moisture at all, or any dirt or dust on your hands--like when you really need to get inside and the weather has drenched you, forget the prints and dig out the keys--if you have them handy. It wasn't just us, my 10 year old grandson had issues, too. I am a real fan of Kwikset--I have 5 doors full of them--but this lock is a design failure, in my opinion. Pulled them off my doors and bought Kwikset locks with number pads. Lost the smart wifi feature, which was nice, but won't get locked out again.

It was very easy for my husband to install with no issues an I love that fact it works with alexa an looks stylish, so far I have been ask buy at least three of my friends where to pick one up. I'm definitely get one more for my backdoor. No complaints here I love it makes my life a bit easier.

I like how I get notifications, when someone uses the lock and that I was able to add my family members fingerprints. Very happy with this lock and not having to remember passwords, codes and keys!

This Halo touch traditional fingerprint smart lock has been a lifesaver. No more crawling through the window for this forgetful girl. It's super easy to install and setup to Wi-Fi.

Installation was a breeze. I had it completely installed within 20 minutes. Love the battery access door which makes it easy to replace the batteries. Setup on the phone was super easy to download and use. It was easy to set up and add everyone's fingerprints to the door for easy access. Now its super easy access for the kids to let themselves in even when they forget their key. Highly recommend this lock for families.
