Purchased in Dec and have used it a few times. Today it started smell like something is burning, unplugged it and smell is finally going away. Faulty wiring in this space heater, tested my outlets and those work fine. Its the space heaters and I'm out money now!
This is my third heater in ten years. The heat output is better than anything of this size. It looks great and is very well built. If you use this on a regular basis, like I do, grab the extended warranty. The last one I purchased, expired with a broken switch but was outta warranty.
I only received 1 heater when I paid for 2. I contacted Lasko and showed the picture of the box with 1 heater. they argued that because of the weight of the box, 2 heaters had to be in the box. so i paid for 2 heaters but only have 1. poor customer service and i will never purchase this brand again. be careful. i also fault FedEx. Please tell me how 2 heaters could fit in the box!
I already had one of these( none remote model) heaters and its been a good heater, I ordered another one because i need it in another area of the house and it was a good price for it and it comes with a remote, well , i guess bout 2 weeks in I can say it heats good and the remote is a big plus, BUT... when you turn on the osscalate feature it makes a clattering noise, works but is annoying, im gonna return it and order another.
I actually already have this item and I like it so much I bought a second one for a different area of my house, so I know the quality is good. Regarding price, I probably could have kept looking and paid a few dollars less somewhere, but I probably wouldn't have gotten the item the next day, which was important this time. I wanted this item before the weather cools off next week.
