This is a fantastic and well-built fan. My husband is an engineer. We bought one last year and he was so thankful for the manual controls and the heavy duty construction, so we purchased two more this year when we found they are still available. Highly recommend. This is a great product.

Lasko phased out the earlier model that I have. I bought this high velocity tower fan for my teenage granddaughter's birthday who wanted one like mine and her brother"s that I purchased 3-5 years ago. That being said this one is not as tall as the 35 inch model that we have and the vent grill is much smaller. The fan still manages to generate a great deal of air flow and white noise that she loves and she is picky. IT'S also 30 dollars more due to inflation. Be forewarned it does not come with a remote...that same model is 10 dollars extra. I only gave 4 stars due to the phasing out of a great model and because of the extreme jump in price.

Fan has made a great difference in studio apartment in a very tropical Hawaiian environment, I purchased a different version of the Lasko brand fan in this same size and both have been an amazing purchase, wish I would of purchased years ago. I keep it on speed 1 or 2, the third setting is very strong but nice to open up the doors and windows and setting the fan up on 3 for a bit to cool down our studio. It's worth the prize. I like the feel of it, and I got rid of other fans that were taking up too much room on my tables and floors that looked very ugly! Very happy with this fan, only thing I could say I don't love is the handle on this version, it's tucked in underneath, however I purchased a different version of this Lasko fan and the handle extends on the top of the fan and I find this version easier to move.

I've purchased two of these fans over the year and AC unit went out at office so I decided to buy another. Sadly, Lasko dropped the ball as many companies do when cutting costs. This value unit use to cool the air nearly as well as an AC unit. This remodel is just a LOUD version box fan circulating the hot air around. Would not purchase unless using during cooler months and live in the Midwest or up north
