LG - 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner - White

Only minor thing, is that it always reverts to energy saver mode when starting. It doesn't remember the previous setting. The filter light is on when the filter is all washed and clean

Seems like there is an issue. It switches on for a couple of seconds then off. 20 or so seconds later it comes on and stays on. It does keep the room cool though so that is what's important. I got a filter error once where I could not tell what it wanted. I ended of turning it off and on. Anyway so long as it lasts I am happy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This a/c worked good for one summer, in Texas that's about 7months of the year. The next summer the unit would not shut off from energy saver mode.Sounded like the a/c was running but no cold air was coming out. I had to completely unplug it from the wall outlet for it turn off and wait for an hour Plug back in and deal with the noise that was not there the first summer., And of course it's out of warranty now.. Very disappointed after spending over $350 for barely a year of a functioning a/c unit. I've had good luck with LG electronic devices in the past. But I will stay away from there appliances.

This unit runs quiet and cools very well. It's 12,000 BTUs are enough to cool the entire lower level of my house. It's a heavy unit and requires two people to lift it. Installation might be difficult for a non hands on person. Some of the instructions are not easy to follow. Some of the instruction pictures are vague. This was especially true with installing the bottom frame guides. This the reason for four stars and not five. All in all, I'm very happy with this unit and highly recommend it. Bought for my garage which here in SW Florida summer it is not uncommon for the temperature in my the garage to be 94 degrees - even though the garage is well insulated. After the first couple or so days of running the AC the humidity was removed and now he garage stays at the setting I choose.
