Lifetime, 6', Youth Kayak, with Bonus Paddle

This Kayak was delivered one week before my son's birthday completely unwrapped and with no paddle. I called customer service and they would not send a paddle, deduct the cost of a paddle, or offer to cover the cost of a new paddle. The only thing they would do is make me take the kayak to the store to return it, and since they don't carry the kayaks in store I would have to wait two more weeks for a new one to come in. I asked if they would rush ship it for my son's birthday the following week but they refused. They said I had to just return it and order a new one. Well I finally agreed, and went to order a new one and the price had gone up $20 on all the same kayaks!!! So this entire interaction with customer service sucked and I just had to order a paddle separately, since I was out an extra $20 whether I ordered a new one at the expensive price or just bought one separately. Very disappointed. Thanks Walmart customer service for being so (not) helpful.

Its a good size for our 8 year old but the item arrived damaged and Walmart customer service wasnt helpful. We'd have to mess with returning this bulky item to get any bit of refund for it having a gash on the side. So we just get a brand new kayak with a gash in it for full price.

Super light. Durable. Easy to use. Perfect for the little ones who aren't quite big enough for a real kayak yet. My son is 6 and zooms all over the place on it. Crosses the lake, navigates salt water ways and creeks, and small enough to pack in the SUV versus on top of the roof.

I am happy with the two Lifetime Wave Jr kayaks I purchased. This company makes nce products. I was disappointed to learn that these kayaks, except for the yellow model, do not come with seat backs. Reading earlier Walmart.com comments from Lifetime on this topic implied they would supply customers with seat backs who were under the impression that all models came with one.

My age is 69, I'm 4'10" and weigh about 112 lbs - Although I consider myself in good shape for my size and age, most kayaks are too heavy for me to handle when out of the water. I read good reviews by other small women so ordered this 6-foot youth kayak (yellow with back rest attachment and paddles) that weighs about 18 lbs. I call it my "Grannyak". I can pull it out of the water onto the dock (when the water is below the dock), then take it to where I store it beside our house. I had to shorten and sew the back rest straps because they were past the sitting area at the shortest length and didn't touch my back, but that was no problem to fix. I love being able to take my Grannyak out whenever I want to, paddle around, then store it without having to ask for help. It's perfect for me - or anyone smaller who can't manage the heavier weight of other kayaks or wants a small one to take in their vehicle. Also can't beat the sale price and free shipping. I love it for what I use it for, just another way to get a little more exercise.
